This video is Hen Mazzig's response to Amnesty International's latest campaign to discourage tourists from visiting Israeli historic and religious sites in protest against Palestinian 'human rights violations'.
Hen Mazzig is a young Israeli activist and writer. Mazzig's family was driven out of Iraq and Tunisia. The self-righteous human rights community raises not a whimper when tourists visit Arab countries guilty of ethnically cleansing their Jews or abusing gays and others.
It's high time that Amnesty was reminded of its double standard. There's another word for it: antisemitism.

ReplyDeleteHere we have Arabs slaughtering each other in Syria and Yemen, in Syria's case surpassing the mass slaughter of the 1990s in Algeria when the total of dead was estimated from 100,000 to 200,000; yet Amnesty is concerned about Israel "misusing" Jewish holy and historical sites, and whereas Jews were living in parts of the so-called OPT [occupied palestinian territory] well into the British period in Hebron [massacre of Jews by Arab in 1929], Gaza City and Nabulus/Sh'khem, from both of which Jews were driven out in 1929, as I recall.
ReplyDeleteAll of that Arab-induced ethnic cleansing --with British acquiescence or encouragement-- yet Amnesty saves its self-righteousness for Israel.
