Yad Vashem remembers Tunisian victims of Nazism

For the first time in 64 years, Yad Vashem held a ceremony honouring the Jewish victims of the Nazi occupation of Tunisia. The ceremony was attended by 400 survivors and their relatives from all over Israel. The Nazis occupied Tunis for six months and the first round-up of Jews took place in December 1942.
