London bomb victim of Iraqi-Jewish origin

Miriam Hyman, 31, who died on the Number 30 bus in the London bombings of 7th July, was a daughter of Mavis Hyman, who was born in Calcutta of Iraqi-Jewish grandparents.

Mavis Hyman is the author of the Indian-Jewish Cookbook and books on the Iraqi Jews of India and the Jews who migrated from Baghdad to Shanghai in the 19th century.
