Jewish refugees issue to climb up Israel's agenda

Exciting new developments will ensure that the issue of Jewish refugees from Arab countries will climb further up Israel's political agenda in the coming year: (with thanks: Shelomo)

In a groundbreaking move, the Israeli Minister for Senior Citizens Mr. Rafi Eytan will this month present a draft resolution on properties stolen from Jews from Arab countries for adoption by the Israeli Government.

The minister will be taking part in a conference, hosted by his own Department and attended by some 50 different organisations, on stolen Jewish property and heritage in Arab and Muslim countries on 20 January in Jerusalem.

In other developments, Professor Uzi Arad and his dedicated team have arranged for Jewish refugees from Arab countries to be given a 90-minute session at the prestigious Herzliya conference on 3 February.

Last but not least, Mr. Aharon Mor has been appointed to run a new Department that will be responsible for the restitution of Jewish property from Europe and the Middle East and Africa.
