There were revolts in many places from Sicily to Hungary and so on by the people against tyrannical kings and oppressive empires. Then too, in many cases, springtime regimes were replaced by dictatorship, as in France where democratically elected Louis Bonaparte decided that being president or prime minister of France was not enough for him. So he made himself Napoleon III, emperor of the Second Empire as his uncle had been emperor of the First Empire. Things worked out even less well in other places.Eliyahu m'Tsiyonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07973268399414290195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12677825.post-58397780865135725472011-07-12T12:44:57.300+01:002011-07-12T12:44:57.300+01:00However, there is a precedent for that in the midd...However, there is a precedent for that in the middle East. Demands for reforms more freedom etc. was the way the end started for the Ottoman Empire. And then as now, it was supported by Western powers. There were titles like "le printemps des indépendances" and the like. What they ended up with for the most part were military dictators.Sylvianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12677825.post-3640571262011766342011-07-11T16:46:52.619+01:002011-07-11T16:46:52.619+01:00Strange , it is called the "Arab spring"...Strange , it is called the "Arab spring", while it started as a hunger revolt south of Tunisia during this winter , I personally prefer to call it the "Arab Winter" and probably mean the end .
You can compare these "hunger revolt" as the medieval"French Jacquerie" uprising in 1358 .
it has nothing to do with freedom of speech as many thinks .
Democracy will bring them the Muslim brothers on power , the fear in Egypt and Tunisia.
Their future is not so bright ...Ahoovahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12677825.post-42484888522661006872011-07-11T11:56:48.965+01:002011-07-11T11:56:48.965+01:00Speaking of Jewish Capitalism
